PURPOSE: An optical communication interface device is provided to perform an interface between the first optical fiber cable and the second optical fiber cable and perform an optical communication. CONSTITUTION: The first optical transmission and reception converting unit(100) has the first optical reception unit(110) for receiving an optical signal with a wavelength(λ4) transmitted from the first optical fiber cable(300). The first optical transmission and reception converting unit(100) has the first optical transmission unit(160) for converting the optical signal with the wavelength(λ4) transmitted from the first optical reception unit(110) into an optical signal with a wavelength(λ1) different from the wavelength(λ4) and transmitting the optical signal with the wavelength(λ1) to the second optical fiber cable(400). The second optical transmission and reception converting unit(200) has the second optical reception unit(210) for receiving an optical signal with a wavelength (λ2) identical to the wavelength(λ1) transmitted from the second optical fiber cable(400). The second optical transmission and reception converting unit(200) has the second optical transmission unit(600) for converting the optical signal with the wavelength(λ2) transmitted through the second optical reception unit(210) into an optical signal with the wavelength(λ3) different from the wavelength(λ4) and transmitting the optical signal with the wavelength(λ3) to the first optical fiber cable(300).
