PURPOSE: A military computer game and its playing method are provided to enable a chess piece of one player to capture a chess piece of the other player positioned in the same square only in a case that the rank of the chess piece of one player is higher than that of the chess piece of the other player so a player has to estimate a rank of the chess piece of an opponent in playing the game. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises several steps. First, a plurality of chess pieces are properly arranged at squares on a board. Players take turns moving one piece by one square to weaken their opponent's position. In a case that two pieces of the players are positioned at the same square, a computer algorithm determines which player captures an opponent by comparing the ranks of the two pieces, namely a higher ranked piece captures a lower ranked piece. When the number is not reduced any more, the number of remaining pieces can determine victory or defeat. Or if one player captures a specific ranked piece of the other player, the player wins the game. The players play the game by transmitting data between two more computers over a wired or wireless network, and can see only the positions of the pieces of the opponent, not the ranks. |
