The aim of the invention is to form, with a low level of stress, an extrusion die (4) of an extruding press for extruding pipes and billets, which is hollow, fastened to a counter holder via a pressure plate (5), and supports a matrix (7) on its die head, whereby a wearing plate (17) is inserted therebetween. Said matrix delimits a shell chamber (13) while interacting with a receiver (2) that receives the block (1) to be shaped and with a shell broaching means placed on the extrusion die (4) while being located at a distance from the matrix (7). The extrusion die (4) is provided with an externally threaded section (15), and the broaching means is provided in the form of a screw-on broaching ring (14) to which a fastening ring (16) serving as a jam nut on the externally threaded section (15) is assigned, and in order to fasten the wearing plate (17) and/or matrix, stay bolts (19) are shrunk in blind holes starting from the face of the die head.
