PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner which avoids residual image phenomenon caused in adoption of a cleanerless image forming method free of residual toner discarding work and useful to prevent environmental pollution while retaining low temperature fixability and can attain cost reduction and to provide an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: In the electrostatic charge image developing toner comprising colored particles consisting essentially of a resin and a colorant and additive particles which are finer than the colored particles, a peak (Mp) in the molecular weight distribution of the THF-solution component of the toner is <=7,000 and the content of a component whose molecular weight is <=539 is <=3.0 wt.%. In the image forming method having at least a latent image forming step in which a latent image is formed on the surface of a latent image holder, a developing step in which the latent image is converted to a visible image with a toner and a transfer step for transferring the toner image onto a support, wherein the toner remaining on the surface of the latent image holder after transfer is recovered in a developing device concurrently with the conversion of a latent image to a visible image in the developing step, the above electrostatic charge image developing toner is used. |
