PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink which can improve the heat dissipating performance of heat dissipating fins formed on the surface of a base dissipating and can stop making large. SOLUTION: In the heat sink, the base provided so as to transmit/receive heat from/to a heating element and a plurality of heat dissipating fins disposed on the surface of the base so as to be parallel each other are made of a metal with an excellent heat conductivity. The heat sink is so constituted that the heat from the element is radiated from the heat dissipating surfaces of the fins to the air through the base and the fins. A blast treating is applied to the heat dissipating surfaces 6 of each fin 3 in a manufacturing process of the heat sink to form excessively fine concave portions 7 and convex portions 8, thereby increasing a virtual contact area between the air and the surface 6.
