PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to suppress increase of temperature in a cooling compartment by preventing conduction of heat energy from a radiating part to an endothermic part even when outside power supply is cut off. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator(1) includes a charged power supplying part(41) installed on a main body to supply charged power to a peltier element(21); a control part(51) supplying the peltier element with power of the charged power supplying part when power supply of an outside power supplying part(31) is cut off; a change-over switch(39) selectively connected with one of the outside power supplying part and the charged power supplying part; and a power detecting part(53) sensing whether the outside power supplying part supplies power.
