FIELD: chemistry and metallurgy, means of manufacture of articles of abrasive and frictional application. SUBSTANCE: frictional article is manufactured from mixture of fiber with medium-temperature pitch and additional impregnation with high-temperature pitch and subsequent carbonization and heat treatment of blank formed by pressing of initial composition with heating to temperature of not below softening temperature of medium- temperature pitch.
