PURPOSE: An optical device for an optical pickup device is provided to reduce the size of the optical pickup device by reducing a distance between a light source and a lens while satisfying a basic I/O distance. CONSTITUTION: In an optical device for an optical pickup device projecting a beam generated from a light source to an optical disk and detecting the beam reflected from the optical disk, the optical device includes a reflecting block(10) reducing a distance between the light source and a lens while maintaining an I/O distance necessary for projecting the beam to the optical disk, wherein the reflecting block includes an incident surface(16) where the beam is incident, a reflecting surface(14) reflecting the incident beam, and an exit surface(18) transmitting the beam reflected through the reflecting surface to the lens. |
