PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device in which attribute information of music is obtained and the information is easily recorded on a recording medium or the like. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing device transmits TOC information acquired from a reproducing CD to a portable telephone device (S11). The device transmits the received TOC information or the like to a title information providing server (S22) and receives title information and a jacket picture (S23). The device transmits the title information to the recording and reproducing device (S24) and transmits the picture to the recording and reproducing device, if required (S26). On the other hand, the recording and reproducing device receives the title information from the portable telephone device (S12), receives the transmitted picture and records the information and the picture in a flash memory (S14). When a recording is completed (S16), the recording and reproducing device records the title information or the like on a recording MD (S17). |
