PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology related with a portable telephone mail distribution system, capable of efficiently utilizing a memory by preserving valid received mails in as many portable telephones as possible by switching the size of a mail to be transmitted at a mail center side, based on preliminarily registered setting, and for erasing unnecessary mail. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig. 1, the portable telephone mail distribution system is roughly constituted of a mail control center 1 and a base station 5 and a portable telephone 6, having a memory 6M for storing a mail. The mail control center 1 is provided with a mail server 4 for managing mail data and a controller (synchronization host) 2, for controlling the mail control center 1 and a telephone book control server 3.
