PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compose a rotary drum for additional specifications with common parts of the rotary drum for regular specification. SOLUTION: A drum-sub material 1 is provided with a rotary-drive motor 10, a rotary drum member 2 is connected with the rotation axis 11, and a rotary transformer 13 is provided. More than one magnetic head (not shown in Figure) for conducting usual recording and reproduction installed in the rotary drum member 2 is connected with the rotor of the rotary transformer 13. Further, an additional head 20 is installed in the optional space of the rotary drum member 2, and the magnetic head 20 is connected with a signal wire rod 21 which passes through the rotary drum member 2 and extends upward. The signal wire rod 21 is connected with a relay substrate 31 through the hole 30 of the lid 3 of the rotary drum, and a connection part 32 is arranged on the relay substrate 31. An additional rotary transformer member 4 is provided with a plane-shaped rotary transformer 41, and the connection part 32 is connected with the rotor coil of the rotary transformer 41.
