PURPOSE: A method and apparatus is provided to achieve improved effects in learning a musical instrument or studying music by allowing players or listeners to easily confirm the progress of musical playing. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises a first step(S210) of obtaining metal score from the musical score to be played or MIDI data; a second step(S220) of displaying electronic score on a screen in accordance with the musical score or meta-score; a third step(S230) of extracting X-Y location for all musical notes included in the electronic score, and generating a note position where X-Y location for each musical note and the meta-score are matched with each other; a fourth step(S240) of generating synchronization information including each musical notes of meta-score and actual playing time information for playing corresponding musical notes; and a fifth step(S250,S260) of designating musical notes corresponding to each time of the synchronization information, to the electronic score in accordance with the note position information.
