PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lattice that can be made compact when packed and a packing body that packs the lattice. SOLUTION: Lattice-bars that constitute the lattice are formed by mutually crossing elongated wooden plates in X form, with the crossed portions capable of being rotated so that they can be freely extended and retracted, so as to be made into an extendible/contractible braced lattice 41 that keeps aligned, when it is extended, the end faces of the mutually crossing wooden plates approximately along a straight line. When it is packed, the extendible/ contractible braced lattice 41 is contracted and accommodated in a packing box 6.
