DUAL MODE LOCAL OSCILLATOR USING SINGLE DIELECTRIC RESONATOR

PURPOSE: A dual mode local oscillator is provided to generate oscillation frequencies of different frequency bands from a single dielectric resonator, while achieving conveniences for processing and management. CONSTITUTION: A dual mode local oscillator comprises a support plate(31); a first printed circuit board(32) and a second printed circuit board(33) arranged at both sides of the support plate, and each of which has an oscillator circuit; a dielectric resonator(34) having both ends penetrated through the support plate and first and second printed circuit boards and protruded upward and downward from first and second printed circuit boards; and a first tuning screw(35) and a second turning screw(36) arranged in the vicinity of both ends of the dielectric resonator, respectively. The dual mode local oscillator generates two different oscillation frequencies by adjusting the distance between the dielectric resonator and tuning screws, respectively, when the oscillator circuits arranged at first and second printed circuit boards oscillate.
