The invention relates to a method and a system for processing pages of scanned image data to generate an electronic, structured document. The processing function modules are functionally coupled to a print production system, containing several sub-modules (Print Job Manager, Order Distribution System), in such a way that, a time-optimised working process is achieved, on the production of documents and the forwarding thereof to the print production system. A memory-optimised type of superimposing image data, by logical arrangement of overlay data on paged data, or data regions is achieved. Further, additional functions are provided, such as dynamic display of information on individual document pages and/or processing information for the corresponding document pages. A partial processing of the data is also provided. |
