PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal screen door keeping an extended net from bulging when acted upon by strong winds, and keeping the upper and lower ends of the net from escaping from a horizontal frame member. SOLUTION: In the horizontal screen door, the net 12 made expansible like an accordion is horizontally openable and closable by means of an operating rail 13 within a frame 11. Wires 14a to 14d, each of which is secured to the operating rail at one end, are passed through the net and hung down into a jamb member via a guide member 15 provided on the jamb member 11a. A weight 16 is suspended from the tip of each wire. A spring member 19 is interposed between the weight 16 and an abutting part 18 which serves as the upper limit of the weight when the net is expanded.
