摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a peptide or its analog capable of inducting an immunological response to malarial parasites by using an immune reaction between the human and other animals. SOLUTION: The peptide compound of this invention has a partial amino acid sequence of a glycolytic enzyme enolase of malarial parasites derived from a part different from the amino acid sequence of human enolase. The peptide compound synthesized biologically or chemically can be used as a diagnostic material for tropical fever malarial infection by bringing the peptide to react with the serum of a patient or as an immunological antigen for producing an antibody capable of inhibiting growth of tropical fever malarial parasites or inducing lyses of the malarial parasites. The peptide compound can act as a medicinal agent for improving symptoms by inducing active immunity to tropical fever malaria-infected patients or as a vaccine using protective immunity for noninfected persons.</p>
