PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a system for electric power line communication which can securely transmit data fast, using an electric power line. SOLUTION: The device has an AGC circuit 14, which amplifies an inputted OFDM modulated signal to a fixed level, an OFDM-demodulating circuit 15 which demodulates the amplified OFDM modulated signal, an OFDM-modulating circuit 17 which imposes OFDM modulation on data and outputs an OFDM modulated signal, and ALC circuit 16 which amplifies the OFDM modulated signal form the OFDM-modulating circuit 17 up to the required level, and a control part 18 which controls the entirety, including the ALC circuit 16 and has a received signal level detecting circuit 19 for detecting the received signal level.
