PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a heating function exhibited without circulating hot water in a heating heater core when an engine of a vehicle is stopped. SOLUTION: A compressor 1 in a refrigerating cycle R is constituted to be operable by motive power of an electric motor 102 even when the vehicular engine 9 is stopped, and which of a cooling function or the heating function is necessary is determined therein when the engine 9 is stopped. The refrigerating cycle R is set to the cooling mode condition where an evaporator 4 exhibits cooling action and the compressor 1 is operated by the motive power of the motor 102, when the cooling function is required in the stopped time of the engine 9, and the refrigerating cycle R is set to the heating mode condition of a hot gas heater cycle where delivery gas of the compressor 1 is introduced into the evaporator 4 to exhibit heating action and the compressor 1 is operated by the motive power of the motor 102, when the heating function is required in the stopped time of the engine 9.
