PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article such as a sanitary napkin which is surely prevented from being twisted or positionally deviated and imparting unconfortable feeling to a user when mounting and while wearing. SOLUTION: The absorptive article is provided with a practically longitudinally long absorptive main body 10 provided with a liquid permeable surface sheet 2, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 3 and a liquid holding absorbent 4 interposed between both sheets 2 and 3, and a pair of wing parts 12 extended from both side edge parts 11 of the absorptive main body 10. The pair of the wing parts 12 are formed from both end parts 13a of an elastic stretchable sheet 13 fixed to the absorptive main body 10 in a stretched state across the absorptive main body 10 and the absorptive main body 10 is contracted in a width direction by the contraction of the elastic stretchable sheet 13 between two fixed parts 14.
