PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent the variation of chlorine concentration caused by the consumption of consumable parts in a chlorine generator applied for a drinking water feeder. SOLUTION: In the chlorine generator in which a pair of electrodes are disposed in a casing, raw water containing chlorine ions is passed through the inside of the casing, the DC voltage is applied between the pair of electrodes to generate chlorine from the chlorine ions in the raw water, a means for informing the information based on the total of the time of application of the DC voltage between the pair of electrodes is provided. A controller 120 displays letters indicating 'Replace the electrodes.' on a display part 111 of a keyboard 110 when the total of the time of application of the DC voltage between the pair of electrodes reaches the preset exchange-requirement display period.
