PURPOSE: A stopper of a shock absorber is provided to increase the strength of a shock absorber, to simplify the assembling process, and to reduce the production cost by improving the structure of a stopper assembled with a piston rod of the shock absorber. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(100) comprises an inner pipe(120) fully filled with oil, an outer pipe(110) half filled with oil, a piston valve(132) generating a damping force by vertically reciprocating in the inner pipe, and a piston rod(130) combined with the piston valve and extending outside the outer pipe. A rod guide assembly(140) for sealing the guide of the piston rod and the outer pipe is prepared. In the middle of the piston rod, a stop rubber(152) and a stopper(150) for controlling the piston rod are installed. The stopper is formed in the shape of a ring of which diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the piston rod. The stopper is made of a thermosetting material.
