PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the life of a photoreceptor from being shortened due to the scrape-off of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In an image forming device provided with an image carrier, an electrifying member to electrify the image carrier, a transferring/electrifying member to transfer a developer image onto a recording material by forming a nip so as to be opposed to the image carrier and a fixing device to fix an unfixed developer image on the recording material, bias having the same polarity as that of the image carrier is applied until a position through which the recording material on the image carrier passes a transfer nip part reaches the position of the electrifying member, and the driving of the image carrier is simultaneously stopped when it reaches the position of the electrifying member, and the driving of the fixing device is simultaneously stopped as the completion of image forming operation. |
