PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator which is improved in segment framing efficiency. SOLUTION: According to the tunnel excavator, an erector device 30 is mounted on a rear portion of an excavator main body 11, and a pedestal 28 is extended rearward. Then, a segment framing scaffold 31 and a shape holding device 32 are horizontally movably borne by the pedestal 28, and a work-step 56 which rotates frontward is arranged on a cage 44.
