PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easy to remove a headrest which cannot be pulled out of a seatback through a locking device when a seat is in use though it can be removed when the seat is not in use. SOLUTION: In this locking mechanism, the movement of a locking piece (20) toward a direction of a lock groove (10) is restrained by providing a stay X' (1) integrated with a headrest with the lock groove (10) and a fixed hole (20B) in the locking piece (20) on the side of a holder X (2) which is engaged with the lock groove (10) and inserting hardware into the fixed hole (20B).
