PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly set braking pressures and their changes of a pair of wheels to conform to each other and improve vehicular braking performance in comparison with the case when target compression/decompression gradients are set to conform to each other. SOLUTION: A target wheel cylinder pressure Pti of each wheel is calculated in response to a braking manipulated variable of a driver (S20-70). When anti- skid control is necessary, a wheel cylinder pressure is controlled at a target wheel cylinder pressure for reducing braking slips of a wheel (S80-110). When only one of right and left wheels is under the anti-skid control, a target wheel cylinder pressure of a wheel in the opposite right or left side not under the anti-skid control is set at the same value as a target wheel cylinder pressure of a wheel under the anti-skid control, a linear valve is controlled on the basis of the target wheel cylinder pressure, and by this, wheel cylinder pressures of the right and left wheels are controlled at substantially the same pressure (S130-170).
