PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article sorting device improving sorting efficiency of articles without enhancing traveling speed of a traveling carriage and providing easy mounting and removal of an article to a lower tray in a vertical arrangement. SOLUTION: In the article sorting device, an article mounted on a tray is delivered by tilting the tray arranged on the traveling carriage 2 at a position of a predetermined sorting chute while circulating traveling carriages 2 connected so as to bend along a travel path 1. A plurality of trays 5 and 6 are vertically provided with an interval in between on each traveling carriage 2, and the lower tray 6 is suspended and supported via a connecting mechanism 8 providing planar and/or vertical movement to the traveling carriage 2.
