PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of an initial charge circuit, and realize cost reduction and reliability improvement. SOLUTION: In this high voltage inverter device, mutually insulated AC high voltages are applied via a main power source transformer to a plurality of single phase power inverting devices constituted of rectifying circuits, smoothing capacitors and inverters; and a three-phase AC high voltage is outputted by combining output voltages of a plurality of the single phase power inverting devices which voltages have mutual phase difference. The initial charge circuit constituted of a current limiting element (3) and a switch (4) connected in parallel with the element (3) is connected in series with the primary side of the main power source transformer (6), and in common to each of the smoothing capacitors (22). The switch (6) is opened only when the smoothing capacitors (22) are initially charged, and closed by a timer (5) after the initial charge is finished. |
