<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which is made thin. SOLUTION: This connector is provided with a body 20 of a synthetic resin molded product where plural contacts 50, contactable with contactors of the counterpart connector, are arranged, a retaining plate 10 composed of an insulating material to retain all the contacts 50 between the body 20, the first shell 40 composed of a metal plate molded simultaneously and integrally with the body 20 and extended over the total length in the array direction of the contact 50, and the second shell 30 composed of a metal plate, extending over the entire length in the array direction of the contact 50 and mutually joined with the first shell 40, so as to surround the contact 50 between the first shell 40. An insertion port 70 for inserting a plug connector between the contact 50 and the second shell 30 is formed between the body 20 and the second shell 30, and the contact 50 is surrounded by the first shell 40 made of the metal plate and the second shell 30 made of the metal plate.</p> |
