PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a signal processor capable of obtaining a wide dynamic range video signal at an optimum level without causing losses. SOLUTION: A wide dynamic range video signal is obtained by adding a standard luminance video signal obtained so that an object of reference brightness becomes a suitable level, and a high luminance video signal obtained so that an object brighter than a prescribed value becomes a suitable level by at least either on of different exposure conditions and different gain control. In that case, after respectively adjusting the white balance of the standard luminance video signal and that of the high luminance video signal, the luminance signals of the adjusted video signals are composited at a prescribed ratio, and the color signals of the respectively adjusted video signals are composited after applying color correction to the color signal of at least one of the adjusted video signals according to a knee processing and the difference between a color temperature of the standard luminance video signal and a color temperature of the high luminance video signal. The knee processing and the difference are reverse characteristics each other, thereby obtaining a wide dynamic range video signal.
