摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the collision of carriers at a merging section and also to prevent the carriers on both routes from uselessly stopping at this side of the merging section for avoidance of the collision in the case a carrier route consists of a main route, a side route and their fork/merging sections and the carriers are made to automatically travel along the carrier route. SOLUTION: A light shading type sensor 21 for detecting the passing of a carrier 10 is installed at the main route 2 at this side of the merging section. A recognition mark 31 to be a detection object from the carrier 10 is arranged at the side route 3 at this side of the merging section, and a signal device 4 is arranged at the merging section. The recognition mark 31 is detected by an optical sensor 16 of the carrier 10S, and the detection signal is transmitted to the signal through optical communication equipment 15 and 45. The signal device 4 transmits the detection signal and a detection signal by the light shading type sensor 21, the transmitted signals are received by the carriers 10M and 10S at this side of the merging section, and the controllers 11 of the carriers 10M and 10S decide stopping or advance on the basis of the received signals.</p>
