An energy calculating unit (10) calculates the energy E of a signal pulse P inputted into an energy measuring device (1) as a measurement object from the integrated signal intensity Q determined by a gate integrator (32) and the pulse spacing T determined by a pulse spacing determining device (23). The energy E corresponds to the total integrated intensity. The calculating unit (10) carries out pile−up correction from at least either the integrated signal intensity or energy of a signal pulse precedent to the signal pulse P and from the pulse spacing. Thus the energy E from which the influence of the pile−up is excluded can be determined with high accuracy. Therefore, even if the pulse spacing between signal pulses is short, the energy of an individual signal pulse can be accurately measured.
