PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a writing utensil which can make its clip part applicable to a common use regardless of the variable outside diameter of a cap body and save a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The cap for a writing utensil is of such a structure that a fitting part 24 formed on the base end side of a clip is retained under pinching pressure by a retaining member 3 and a crown to be attached to the tail end part of a cap body. In this cap for a writing utensil, when a cap body 1B which is larger than a reference cap body 1A with a smallest outside diameter is used, the axis of the fitting part for the same clip as a clip 2 used for the reference cap body, is retained in such a state that the described axis and the axis of the cap body are eccentrically set to each other. In addition, a positioning part 31 in which the fitting part 24 of the clip is insetted, is formed on the upper surface of the retaining member 3. |
