PURPOSE: A method for controlling temperature-compensating heater of refrigerator is provided to keep temperature in a refrigerator compartment stable when surrounding temperature is lower than set temperature of the refrigerator compartment. CONSTITUTION: A method comprises the steps of: a first step(S11,S12) receiving operation of a user setting desired temperature and determining whether difference between the set temperature and temperature surrounding a storage compartment is over fixed value; a second step(S13,S15) turning off a temperature-compensating heater when the difference is under the fixed value and determining whether chilled air is supplied to the storage compartment when the difference is over the fixed value; and a third step(S14) turning off the temperature-compensating heater if the storage compartment is supplied with chilled air and turning on the temperature compensating heater if not.
