PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device reducing an error with respect to actual toner consumption by using time when toner replenishing operation is actually performed as the toner consumption from a toner holding container without using a special sensor or the like. SOLUTION: A non-volatile memory is mounted in a toner bottle 10. A memory 20 is provided to be exposed to the upper surface of the toner bottle 10. It is connected to a control unit on an image forming device main body side through a contact terminal 22 provided on a toner bottle fixing member 21. Information on toner filling amount of the toner bottle 10 is stored in the memory 20, the residual amount of toner inside the toner bottle 10 is calculated from the filling amount thereof, the replenishing ability (for example, 0.5 g/ second) of a powder pump for toner replenishment and replenishment integrating time. The toner replenishing amount C is calculated as C=(VT-Vref)*X. Vt means the output voltage of a toner concentration sensor 12, Vref means the reference voltage thereof and X means a toner replenishment coefficient, and are changed according to the level of the residual amount of the toner. |
