New isolated human gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptors and nucleic acids, useful for treating disorders associated with gonadal steroids, e.g. endometriosis

Isolated gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptors (GnRH-R2): (i) comprising a 354 amino acid (aa) sequence (A1) or 379 aa sequence (A2); or (ii) encoded by a sequence that hybridizes with a 1174 bp sequence (N1) or 1249 bp sequence (N2). All sequences are reproduced in the specification. Independent claims are also included for: (1) isolated polynucleotide (I) that: (i) is (N1) or (N2); (ii) encodes (A1) or (A2); (iii) encodes a natural GnRH receptor and hybridizes with (i) or (ii); or (iv) encodes a natural GnRH receptor and is obtained by a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method; (2) natural GnRH receptor encoded by the sequence of (a)(iv); and (3) recombinant vector containing (I); and (d) genetically modified cell containing (I).
