APPARATUS FOR HOLDING AN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR BLOCK

A holder (1) for an electrical connector block including means (2) for receiving an electrical connector block, and a catch (5) operable between an open position in which a connector block may be received by and removed from the receiving means and a closed position in which a connector block may be retained relative to the receiving means by the catch. The catch (5) is resiliently biased towards the closed position. A latch means (10) is also provided and is operative to retain the catch (5) in the open position when an electrical connector block is not received by the receiving means. Provision of the latch means overcomes the need for the catch to be manually held in the open position whilst introducing an electrical connector block into the receiving means. The receiving means may comprise a cavity. The latch member may be arranged to release the catch from the open position,allowing it to close, on insertion of an electrical connector block into the holder.
