<p>The invention, which is called METRAFDIABETE, relates to novel pharmaceutical products, which are numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 and which are obtained from extracts from the Anacardium occidentale, Moringa oleifera, Sclerocarya birrea and Prosopis africana medicinal plants, and the use thereof in the treatment of diabetic diseases. Product number 1 corresponds to that obtained with extract from the bark of Anacardium occidentale. Product number 2 corresponds to that obtained with extract from the leaves of Moringa oleifera. Product number 3 corresponds to that obtained with extract from the roots of Sclerocarya birrea. Product number 4 corresponds to that obtained with extract from the bark of Prosopis africana. All the aforementioned products are obtained using the same production method and they are all in the form of conditioned powder, in gelatine capsules, capsules or sachets of granules having a unit weight of 2.08g. One of said four medicaments is taken orally for 8-day increments until the clinical and paraclinical signs of the diabetes have completely disappeared. The plant extracts used have a hypoglycemia action and, moreover, they facilitate the absorption of carbohydrates by the cells and tissues.</p> |
