Fixing of steel bolts onto automobile body panel uses welding of intermediate structure

The aluminum body panel of automobile (2) has an intermediate structure (3) for the fixing of steel bolts (1). The bolt is fixed to a steel plate (4) that is welded to an intermediate plate of aluminum (5). The process uses WIG or MIG welding for fixing to the intermediate structure. Laser welding secures the assembly to the body panel.
