PURPOSE:To always form an image in an excellently formed state without necessitating a special spot measuring tool by measuring the surface potential of a photosensitive body by a potential setting means at least in two different image formed states and adjusting one or more image formed state adjusting means among them according to the measured potential. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a potential sensor 10 for measuring the surface potential of the photosensitive drum 8 and a focus correcting lens 3 by which the image formed state of an image-formation system is changed, and the surface potential of the photosensitive drum 8 is measured by the potential sensor 10 at least in the two different image formed states, then the lens 3 is adjusted according to the measured potential. Thus, the image formed state of the device is monitored without the special measuring device, and the image-formation system is manually or automatically adjusted to adjust the image formed state based on the result of monitoring. |
