<p>The invention relates to a closed stanchion (1) which comprises stamped openings (2) and which is used for racks. The inventive stanchion is characterised in that it comprises housings for the lugs of the connecting elements used between the crossbars and the stanchion. Said housings are formed by stamping openings (2) along a stanchion, the flanges (1.1 and 1.2) of which meet to form a tubular structure. When said flanges are folded on top of one another, they form a double continuous perpendicular rib (3) which, when used with a tubular structure comprising stamped openings (2), enables the load capacity of the stanchion (1) to be increased considerably.</p> |
