PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent work efficiency from lowering by making possible for a user to recognize the necessity of alignment adjusting work surely and to execute desired imaging processing surely. SOLUTION: When replacement of print head units 11a-11d is detected through a sensor 17 (103, 104) under a ready state for waiting input of image data, an alignment adjustment pattern being referred in alignment adjusting work is printed automatically on a recording sheet (108), and imaging processing based on the inputted image data is not performed until the alignment work is completed (110→102). A user can recognize the necessity of alignment adjusting work surely by detecting the recording sheet printed with the alignment adjustment pattern, and the image quality can be prevented surely from deteriorating due to a print head 16 being driven at a timing inappropriate for the gap between the print head 16 and the recording sheet. |
