PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel egg storage container with which numerous eggs can be stored and carried as a tray in a service kitchen at a hotel, a meal supply center or the like or the eggs can be hygienically put and stored in a refrigerator so that they can be taken out any time. SOLUTION: The egg storage container comprises a container body A having numerous, twenty for example, egg storage recesses 2, etc., which are arranged in a plurality of rows as sectioned by numerous truncated-conical protrusions 1, etc., over a plurality of rows, and a detachable lid B for covering the container body A. The container body A and the lid B are molded of a synthetic resin sheet material by a vacuum forming means. In addition, at least the container body A has sufficient strength to stably retain its shape when it is carried with the eggs received. Banks 3 connected on the same horizontal plane are formed along a periphery of the container body A.
