BLEACHING AGENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bleaching agent composition which prevents the inhibition due to calcium ions even in the presence of calcium ions and is excellent in solubility; and to provide a method for bleaching a fibrous material by using the composition. SOLUTION: This bleaching agent composition contains a peroxide and an organic peracid precursor salt comprising an organic peracid precursor anion having an anionic group and a magnesium ion. In the method for bleaching the fibrous material, the bleaching composition is used in hard water with a calcium ion concentration of 0.001 mol/L or higher.
