PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve simplification of a mechanism of equipment for bookbinding with an adhesive paste which adheres a cover to a paper bundle, bends the cover and conducts casing-in and also to achieve improvement of the quality of bookbinding and productivity and high-speed processing. SOLUTION: The equipment for bookbinding with the adhesive paste has a first bending means 93 which forms a first fold (a) by bending the cover K set on a paper setting stage 41, at a right angle, along a first lateral end part of the spine part of the paper bundle Sa and cases in the front cover surface side of the paper bundle Sa and a second bending means 64 which carries the paper bundle Sa to force it into a position clamped by paired rollers 641 and 642, forms a second fold (d) by bending the cover K at a right angle along a second lateral end part of the spine part of the paper bundle Sa, cases in and pastes the back cover surface side of the paper bundle Sa.
