PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-shielding construction method capable of reducing a cost required for a boring machine, and capable of reducing an execution cost for constructing a pipeline by recovering and reusing most of a constitutive member of the shield machine. SOLUTION: A steel outer cylinder 2 of the shield machine 1 is divided into plural parts in the lengthwise direction, and is also divided into plural parts in the radial direction, and is assembled by joining the parts so as to be capable of disassembling by using segments 23 set in the size capable of passing through an existing manhole. A cutter 5, a driving motor 6 housed inside the steel outer cylinder 2, and a sludge means 8 are respectively set in the unit size capable of individually passing through the existing manhole. These members are removably installed in the steel outer cylinder 2. When the shield machine 1 arrives at the existing manhole by executing the pipeline, the steel outer cylinder 12 is disassembled into a unit of the segments 23. The cutter 5, the driving motor 6, and the sludge means 8 are removed and disassembled. These members are taken out of the existing manhole so that the most can be reused.
