PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out an installation method for installation using a permanent car frame and a movable platform even for an elevator having no machine room. SOLUTION: Upper portions of guide rails 3 and 3a are fixed to walls of a hoistway 21 by rail brackets 30 and 30a, and upper equipment 35 is fixed on the upper portions of the guide rails 3 and 3a, with the result that the weight of the upper equipment 35 is supported by the walls of the hoistway 21.
