SYSTEM FOR CORRELATING MR IMAGE WITH BIOLOGICAL DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correlate an MR image with biological data. SOLUTION: MR image data and biological data are acquired through two independent pipelines including processing from analog/digital conversion to the display of the image or data. Both the pipelines are synchronized by a trigger calculated from data contained in the biological data pipeline. In the other embodiment, the system is provided with the time synchronization of a distributed collecting and processing system and this system has an ability for correlating the biological data and the MR image data by using a common time base and an ability for selectively storing the biological data. A plurality of timers are synchronized by using a simplified network time protocol and the biological data are sent to a data storage process by using another data route.
