PURPOSE: An auxiliary refrigerator and food warming cabinet using chilled air of kimchi storage and control method of the same are provided to prevent waste of electric power and resources. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator and food warming cabinet(20) includes a second refrigerant pipe(31) installed on an outer wall of a refrigerator compartment(30); a first temperature sensor(32) detecting temperature in the refrigerator compartment; a heater(41) installed on an outer wall of a food warmer compartment(40); a second temperature sensor(42) detecting temperature in the food warmer compartment; a chilled air connecting pipe(50) having a valve installed thereon to be opened and closed so as to supply the food warmer compartment with chilled air in the refrigerator compartment; a first and a second three-way valves(14,15) controlling refrigerant supplied to a first refrigerant pipe(17) and an auxiliary refrigerant pipe(60) of a kimchi storage(10); an auxiliary control device(21) comparing temperature detected by the first and the second temperature sensors with set temperature to control turning on/off of the heater and opening and closing of the chilled air connecting pipe and demanding a main control device of the kimchi storage to control a compressor(12) and the three-way valves of the kimchi storage; the auxiliary refrigerant pipe connecting the second refrigerant pipe with the kimchi storage; and a connector(16) connecting the auxiliary refrigerant pipe and the auxiliary control device with the first refrigerant pipe and the main control device.
