PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube which is capable of suppressing change over time of brightness caused by gas absorption without lowering the luminous efficacy of the phosphor. SOLUTION: In this fluorescent display tube, anodes 4 coated with phosphor layers 5 and cathodes 7 disposed facing the anodes 4 are formed in an evacuated enclosed envelop. Here, the phosphor layer 5 includes zeolite 5b consisting of a blend of 0.05 to 5%, by weight.
